History: :
Maitria Weaver was born to the elf Dintaithar Celebduin, a minor member of the Aleanvirrea family. Her mother fell in love with the human Eric Weaver. Eric was the fourth son of Lady Atropos's mother and although wellborn, he was not accepted by the elves. Dintaithar left the elven conclave and married Eric. They lived happily amongst the human family. In the 10th year of their marriage Dintaithar bore a daughter, Maitria. Unfortunately her father Eric died from an unknown illness when she was a child.
Dintaithar grew despondent and lonely after the death of her husband and lost interest in her child. She watched those around her grow old before her eyes and saw that her daughter would also grow old before her time, even if it was a longer life than that of the humans. It was still a disappointment to the disillusioned elf. She began to long for her own kind more than ever.
She knew many people from all the races from the days spent with the Weaver family. Knowing that the elves would not accept her child into their clan she chose to bring the half-elf child to the Dwinenea Half-Elf family to raise with others who were most like herself.
The family Weaver was sorry to see the child go and left their doors open to her should she choose to return.
Maitria grew with and learned from the family Dwinenea and felt as if they were her own. They treated her as closely as a daughter, more a family to her than the elves or the humans could be.
Many years have passed, Maitria had done her duty to bear children by another half-elf. Love was not involved in their union, she recognized that now. She hopes to someday find a true love, but it has not come for her yet. And her ability to believe that it would was becoming tarnished. She has a daughter and a son, both in their own adulthood and moving into the stage of having families themselves.
But Maitria is not considered old, only 83, she has not reached the half-mark of her life yet.
